A product i made for this project with my partner was lip balm. And yes its like every other lip balm but it smells like oranges and look purty. See our product is worth it because not only is it healthy and safe to use but it smells like oranges and gives you a good shine after. I didn’t have no experience making makeup before beside melting crayons and using that as lipstick. Making this lip balm did go as I expected, we finished in one go but a thing i would have changed differently is the pigment i used for the lip balm i think we should have used a more shiny orange color then purple.

The ingredients that we used in our product wear; shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil, essential oil (orange), purple powder for color. Use 8.6g of coconut oil(you can get it at any local store), 2.9g of beeswax(can get it at walmart), 6.4g shea butter(can get at walmart), 1 gram of purple powder, 5 drops of essential oil. I used the ingredients because there are safe to use and give out the things we need. Example orange essential oil for the smell, purple powder for visual representation, and coconut oil for softness. Coconut is used to keep your lips, it's an emollient so its an non-cosmetic mourstier that protects the skin. Coconut oil is also high in fatty acids, killing off bacteria and viruses creating a possibility to prevent infection(resource healthline.com). Beeswax also carries properties that kill of chapped skin, helping us during the cold months(resourcebustle.com). Now shea butter contains both vitamin A and E that help your lips as well not to dry out(leaf.tv).

To make this we first measured how much we needed for coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter then added them all to a mason jar. We added an inch of water to a pot and brought up to a boil. We then place the mason jar into the pot(make sure not to get water in the jar at all). We waited for the ingredients to melt, after they were melted we stirred it a little to make the mixture then removed it from the pot. After that we added our purple powder and essential oil to the jar. We stirred again then used a pipette to transfer the mixture from the jae into little lip balm tins. After letting it sit still for 15 minutes or mixture was set and ready to use.

See in conclusion we made a pretty purple smelling orange lip balm that is also healthy for your lips and keep them moisturized and undry during the coldest days. Made from the one and only Nevaeh and Liana.
