Do you have dry hair that you would want to “”liven” up? Something anti-frizz but doesn’t make you look greasy? Well my partner and I wanted to make exactly that. Now aside from some other diy projects in chemistry we haven’t done anything like this for hair. At first it didn't go great, the formula was oily and that was due to the recipe we are actually basing it off so we had to start from scratch
Ingredient 1: Orange Scent- helps with anxiety and depression. Evidence that supports this is by healthline.com “Essential oil can be used for pain and discomfort." It can also be used for many other useful things-like stomach pain and helps with anxiety. An all-in-one package!
Ingredient 2: Oils- oils have a lot of natural moisturizing benefits. Evidence that supports this claim would be by medicalnewstoday.com who says "oils are a natural moisturizer used for both skin and nails." So have a dry scalp? moisture helps with that, it also helps with hair growth and most importantly dry ends.
Ingredient 3: coco oil- coconut oil helps with damaged hair plus encourages hair regrowth. Evidence that supports this claim would be by lucybee.com who states “Coconut oil stimulates hair growth getting deep into its follicles.” and “Coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, contributing to hair length.” Its also very moisturizing and smells good-yum!
Other Ingredients include:
-Shea butter helps with dry ends
coco butter- which helps with fly aways and locks everything in.
Procedure: Now the procedure was a bit off, at first it was a lot of experimenting and redoing. But eventually we got it perfect.
What you want to do is- Add equal amounts of oils ( ex; one tbsp of olive oil and one tbsp of almond oil) The oils we used were olive, almond, and the essential oil orange.
-Add half the amount of oil used in shea and coco butter.
-Add the amount of the first oil you used with water (this helps with the oiliness of the cream, this step can be optional if you have very dry hair
-Add the beeswax next. (This was a bit finicky we suggest melting it with the coco and shea butter and not by itself.)
-Add the amount of essential oil you’d like and color powder (we chose orange and suggest 5 drops)
-shake or whip the mixture until both the water and oil are mixed.
We wanted to make the procedure simplified, no weighing. Only parts so it doesn't take too long and you get a great outcome!

In conclusion, Our ingredients work in synthc, it’s organic and you know what's in it there is no dedicated research to find what's in your everyday because let's be honest, we don't know what’s in them and we don't want to get a degree in chemistry to figure it out. The experience was fun, but after a while we realized we had to take it seriously and find something that worked. We hope that you can have fun in something we take pride in.
