Jalaya and I wanted to make lip gloss we both thought it was the best product we could think of. We’re making lip gloss because a lot of people use it and we thought it would be a good idea to make. It would be the best version of lip gloss because we use good and natural ingredients. It’s because we added natural ingredients like coconut oil. The experience was fun and we would probably do it again. It went like we expected it to be because we did everything that we were supposed to do in order to make the lip gloss. Things could’ve done better like having the right consistency and such.

For materials we used lip gloss base, coconut oil, and glitter . For lip gloss base we filled about a quarter in the bowl and you can purchase the lip gloss base at amazon, the coconut oil was provided by the teacher so we don’t know where she got it and we used about a tablespoon of each, and the glitter we got was from Walmart and we used it on how much glitter we wanted in the gloss. We’re using lip gloss base because we need the lip gloss to be actually used and because when we watched tutorials on how to make lip gloss, they used the base to make sure the lip gloss the right consistency and so that the lip gloss wouldn’t be too runny and too thick. We also used coconut oil because it helps moisturize the lips. We used the glitter because we wanted the gloss to look pretty. That’s why we decided to use these ingredients.

Coconut oil has the same fatty acids that help your skin lock moisture. Coconut oil is also considered to be a non-cosmetic moisturizer for the lips. Coconut oil also has many benefits that aren’t just for the lip, it’s also proven to help with bad breath and can help whiten teeth, overall it can help with dental hygiene. One fatty acid that’s in coconut oil is saturated fat which helps the oil to have a firm texture whether it’s at a cold or room temperature room. The lip gloss base we used is vegan, gluten-free, and it’s a cruelty free product. It’s also odorless and colorless.

First what we did was fill the bowl we used about a quarter of the bowl then added the coconut oil. During the first gloss we made we microwaved the two ingredients so that it would be faster to melt but we think that microwaving it made the gloss the wrong consistency. So instead during the second, third, and forth try we just mixed them together until it was the right consistency. After mixing the coconut oil and lip gloss base we added the glitter, we added glitter until we felt that it was the right amount of it in the gloss. Then after we used the spoon we mixed it with, we used that spoon to collect the finished product then poured it inside the syringe. After we pushed the top of the syringe to fill up the lip gloss tube with the finished lip gloss. Finally after that you can finally used the lip gloss.

Our product is important because as girl lip gloss is a popular item to use for the lips, whether it be for looking good or wanting moisturized lip, many people would want to use this product. Our ingredients worked well because we tried to use natural ingredients so that the gloss wouldn’t be harmful for the lip and our product can also be used by people who are sensitive to chemical ingredients since many of the ingredients are natural. The experience of making this was fun and making the actual lip gloss wasn’t too time consuming and it can even be done when your bored as long as you have the ingredients.
