My recipe was lip gloss. I chose to make homemade lip gloss simply because I wanted my own instead of paying 10 dollars for one when I can purchase ingredients to make 10 individual costing around the same amount. So what I did was look up ingredients for different kinds of lip glosses and ways to make it . I went through like 20 different ingredients and websites until I finally found the one I wanted to used, and what I thought would be most beneficial for me and the best out come ,okay so this was a homemade lip gloss so these products can be bought online or purchased in local stores nearby you this process takes about 30 mins to make an additional 5 mins for preparation here is step by step what I did.

First I gathered all my ingredients I needed to make the homemade lip gloss which was coconut oil ,Beeswax, cocoa butter ,grape seed oil, vitamin E pills, lavender essential oil, glitter or maca powder . This is additional so your choice . Also a small or large bowl of your choice and small measuring spoons , fork, spoon or whisk and pot for heating purposes . You're gonna need lip gloss tubes for the product to go in and suckers to get the gloss out of the bowl . Next step, I took 2 TBSP of coconut oil and dropped it into my bowl then I took 2 TBSP of Beeswax 2 TBSP of cocoa butter and now you wanna start to stir before proceeding on with mixing your ingredients so it can mix well when it is getting heated. I took 4 TBSP of grape seed oil I did not have the capsules of the vitamin E pills so I used the oil and I used 1 TBSP because that measured to about 3 capsules of the pills , 3 drops of the lavender oil and now you wanna mix all of your ingredients up into your bowl you can decide to add your glitter now of whenever it is heating or when it cools its your choice and once it is mixed you want to now take the pot of water and set it on the stove so the pot with all your product does not stick to the pan and burn . Now stir until everything is melted and once everything melts remove the bowl from the pot of water and let it cool . As is was cooling that is when I added my maca powder so it would be more of an glitter effect when my gloss is on my lips then I used the small tubes from before and put my lip gloss inside the applicators then let them form a little more then test your lip gloss .

One of the main ingredients in the lip gloss is coconut oil and i chose this because it is great for your skin also is likely safe and helps clogged pores and breakouts. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/a16664357/coconut-oil-for-skin/

Another main ingredient I used is Beeswax I chose this because i heard it is a great substance in things such as lip gloss chapstick and vaseline. It creates a barrier which helps seal the moisture into your skin .https://wellnessmama.com/124235/beeswax-uses/

Last main ingredient was coca butter this is a really great use of the skin especially for dry skin and it is used often on the body .Also it has lots of healthy fatty acids .https://draxe.com/cocoa-butter/

My product is way better than store lip gloss because it is cheaper more convenient makes triple the amount compared to the price for one and it's fun cool active too try especially with kids .

If you were to use this recipe I would advise you make a small amount just so if something goes wrong or you don't like the product you can change it without wasting your ingredients or throwing out most if your product . I have never made any thing like this before it was my first time but I feel as the for my first time it went pretty well.

Overall my product turned out good i feel as though it need a thicker substance like vassili to make it more sticky and less oily I would redo it and tweak some things up in my recipe to see how the outcome would be I think I should of used less beeswax because that's all you smell in the gloss or maybe more of the lavender oil to give it a better aroma but i give my recipe a 8/10 if you are looking for a quick easy DIY activity this is it !!!!!!!!!!! -
