Some might say using a charcoal peel-off-mask is bad for your skin because it can cause a rash and or irritate your skin. But I think they work really well and make your skin super soft. I myself have some experience using these products. I would highly recommend using it. It's a really good way at taking your acne away and if you got facial hair, on your chin, cheek or whatever, it takes that away to. My all time favorite charcoal-peel-of-mask is the “ Acne Purifying peel-off black mask”. You can order it on amazon for about $11. It's pretty cheap compared to other products. But it isn't cheap buying it several times. So I decided to try to make my own. After seeing how other people make theirs, I've came up with my own recipe.
Ingredients:
Boiling water- 2 teaspoons
Tea tree essential oil- 3 drops
Gelatin- 1 teaspoon
Bentonite clay- ¼ teaspoon
Activated charcoal capsule- 2 capsules
Information on Ingredients:
Tea Tree Essential Oil
- You can buy this product on amazon for around $10, depending on what brand you buy.
- I used this product because it's good for treating acne and it reduces redness, swelling, and helps prevent acne scars. Also it leaves your skin clear and really smooth.
Gelatin
- This product can also be bought on amazon for about $14-$28 depending on what size of a container you get. They normally sell by ounces so the price may vary.
- I decided to use this product because without this then the mask won't peel off.
Bentonite Clay
- This product is also on amazon for $13, It's pretty cheap.
- I used this product because it helps absorb all the toxins and dirt to the surface of your skin.
Activated Charcoal Capsule
- You can buy this product on amazon for $8. It comes with 100 charcoal capsules.
- I decided to use this product because you can't make a charcoal mask without the charcoal capsules.
Step by Step Directions:
1) Start out by getting all the ingredients and materials ready.
2) Take 2 charcoal capsules out of the container. Then open the capsules and pour the powder into a bowl.
3) Add ¼ teaspoon of bentonite into the same bowl with the charcoal powder.
4) Next add 1 teaspoon of gelatin into the same bowl with the bentonite and charcoal powder.
5) Add 2 teaspoons of water into the same bowl and mix well. (avoid metal spoons and bowls)
6) Add 3 drops of tea tree essential oil, then mix
7) After mixing well, use a spoon, or your hands if you don't mind getting them dirty, and spread the mask on your face. AVOID the eyebrows and eyes.( If the mask does get on your eyebrow, get a warm cloth and gently wipe it off, DON’T let it dry.)
8) If the mask starts to thicken up and you can't apply it, add 2 teaspoons of boiling hot water into the bowl.
9) After applying the mask, wait 30-45 minutes or until dried all the way.
10) Once it's totally dry start from an edge, like your chin or side of the cheek, and start peeling.
11) If there's any left over on your face use a warm wash cloth and wipe it off.
One of my most important ingredients has to be the Tea Tree Essential oil. This product is all natural and can help with mostly anything. Hair growth, bug bites etc. Another important ingredient is the bentonite clay. This gets all the dirt/toxins from underneath your skin and takes it to the surface, making your face soft and smooth.
So if you want clean soft skin, try making my charcoal peel-off-mask. Trust me you will like the ending results of it.
